Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has expressed support for the United States’ initiative to revive domestic manufacturing.

In an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, Huang called this move critical for economic growth and stability.

Huang highlighted the importance of onshoring technology production, particularly semiconductors, to reduce reliance on foreign nations.

He noted that developing manufacturing expertise can boost economic growth and create stable job opportunities without requiring advanced degrees.

Recent policies have aimed to stimulate manufacturing in various sectors, including automotive, energy, and technology.

Regarding AI, Huang addressed concerns about its impact on employment. A World Economic Forum survey indicated that 41% of employers plan to reduce their workforce by 2030 due to AI automation.

Huang acknowledged that while some jobs may be lost, new opportunities could arise, and productivity gains might benefit society.
