Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said in a recent Bloomberg Television interview that nuclear power could become a viable solution to meet the increasing energy demands of data centers.

Huang underscored its potential as a sustainable energy source and stressed the need for a diverse energy mix to tackle challenges related to availability, cost, and sustainability in energy generation.

He said energy shortages in certain regions create significant obstacles, impeding the construction and operation of new data centers.

Huang referred to these facilities as “AI factories,” noting that some operate below their full capacity, while others are located far from urban centers, complicating energy logistics.
