At the Milken Global Conference, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said companies should not block the US government from using AI for legal national security purposes and said he trusted it to use the technology properly.

His comments came after Anthropic drew Pentagon criticism.

It said its Claude model could not be used for large-scale surveillance of Americans or for fully autonomous weapons.

The Pentagon labeled Anthropic a national security supply chain risk.

Huang said he respected the company but disagreed with some of its positions.

He added that CEOs should not override elected governments on wartime decisions.

Nvidia also joined other companies in a confidential agreement that lets the Pentagon use their technologies for legal purposes.
