Nvidia CEO asks SK Hynix to speed up new AI chip deliveries
Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, has asked SK Hynix to speed up the supply schedule for its high-bandwidth memory chips, known as HBM4.
SK Group chairman, Chey Tae-won, confirmed the request, prompting SK Hynix to advance its supply timeline by six months.
SK Hynix originally planned to deliver these memory chips in the latter half of 2025.
The request from Nvidia, a leader in the AI chip market with over 80% global market share, reflects a growing demand for more efficient and higher capacity chips.
