Nvidia to build AI data center in Israel

Nvidia will construct a 10,000-square-meter data center in Israel with a 30-megawatt capacity, among the largest in the country.

Scheduled to begin in early 2025, the facility will feature Nvidia’s Blackwell chip systems and locally developed communication switches.

The center aims to support Nvidia’s engineering teams in developing technologies for communication networks, processors, and AI software.

Nvidia’s presence in Israel grew significantly after acquiring Mellanox in 2020, focusing on high-capacity AI communication systems.

In 2023, Nvidia launched Israel-1, a supercomputer ranked 34th among the world’s fastest, highlighting its advanced capabilities.
