Nvidia-backed Serve Robotics raises $80m for expansion

Serve Robotics, backed by Nvidia and Uber, has raised US$80 million through a direct offering of 4.2 million shares, sourced from undisclosed institutional investors.

This funding will support the expansion of its robot delivery services and sustain operations through 2026. The offering is expected to close on Thursday.

Currently, the company operates 100 sidewalk delivery robots in Los Angeles, serving restaurants via Uber Eats 7-Eleven.

Serve plans to add 250 more robots in Los Angeles by Q1 2025 and aims for a total fleet of 2,000 robots in multiple US cities by the end of the year.

In December 2024, Serve raised US$86 million through an at-the-market facility and warrant exercises, bringing the total capital raised in the past year to over US$247 million.
