NTT Group will establish Synexia Ventures, its first startup investment vehicle focused on Southeast Asia, on December 15, 2025.

NTT Docomo Ventures and NTT Finance, both based in Tokyo, will jointly manage the Singapore-headquartered investment vehicle.

Synexia Ventures will target startups in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, with an emphasis on AI, IoT, smart cities, robotics, and drones.

Kuan Hsu, general partner at KK Fund, will lead on-the-ground operations in the region as part of a joint management team with NTT Docomo Ventures and NTT Finance.

NTT Group has previously run startup collaboration programs in Southeast Asia, including the NTT Startup Challenge, which expanded to cover the entire group in 2024.

The establishment will be announced at the NTT Startup Challenge Pitch Day in Jakarta on November 11, 2025, where ten selected startups will present their proposals.
