Firefly, a brand under the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Nio, will launch its first model on April 19. Deliveries of the new vehicle will begin immediately after the launch.

The car will be positioned as a premium small vehicle within the price range of 150,000 yuan (approximately US$21,000). Firefly plans to establish initial pilot operation stations in key cities later this year.

Firefly vehicles will integrate into Nio’s fifth-generation battery swap network. They will use the company’s existing battery specifications and standards for swapping.

Recent Nio developments
