Nebius acquires Israeli AI startup Inferize in GPU deal
Nebius, a Nasdaq-listed AI cloud company led by Arkady Volozh, has acquired Tel Aviv-based startup Inferize to add software designed to reduce idle GPU costs across AI inference workloads when demand shifts.
Terms were not disclosed, though the deal was estimated at US$100 million to US$150 million.
Inferize was founded in early 2026 by Guy Bortnikov and Lior Gorbonos, both members of the founding team of Granulate, an Israeli computing infrastructure optimization company that Intel acquired in 2022.
The startup had operated in stealth and employed 17 people.
The deal follows Nebius’ February agreement to buy Israeli startup Tavily for an initial US$275 million.
Nebius said that acquisition would add agentic search to its AI cloud platform.
Inferize’s technology is designed to improve GPU use during inference by reducing idle capacity during cold starts, when model weights must be loaded before a model can respond, or when customer demand changes.
