Nazara acquires full ownership of sports media firm
Nazara Technologies has acquired an additional 8.97% stake in Absolute Sports, the parent company of Sportskeeda, for 69.17 crore rupee (US$8 million), making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.
The acquisition was announced in an exchange filing on Mar. 19, 2025.
Nazara previously acquired a 6.05% stake for 19.99 crore rupee (US$2.31 million) in 2022 and another 10.26% for 72.73 crore rupee (US$8.42 million) in December 2024.
Absolute Sports, founded in 2010, focuses on media and entertainment, providing sports content, live scores, schedules, and gaming-related services.
