Bitsmedia, the Singaporean company behind the Islam-centric lifestyle app Muslim Pro, has raised US$20 million in a series A funding round.

The funding will be used to facilitate expansion within the Middle East and North Africa markets and to develop new features, including an AI-based search engine.

The company also plans to expand its Quran reading feature and its Qalbox streaming service.
