Elon Musk’s Starlink faces growing competition in the global satellite internet market.

Major challengers include China’s state-backed SpaceSail and Amazon’s Project Kuiper, both of which seek to deploy low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellations.

SpaceSail has signed agreements to expand its satellite internet services to Brazil and Kazakhstan.

The company is negotiating with over 30 additional countries.

It plans to deploy 648 satellites this year, with an ultimate goal of assembling a constellation of 15,000 satellites by 2030.

This contributes to China’s objective of launching 43,000 LEO satellites in the coming decades.
