Musk may withdraw $97.4b bid if OpenAI turns for-profit
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, said he may revoke his US$97.4 billion proposal for OpenAI’s non-profit branch unless the organization maintains its non-profit status.
This information was revealed in a court filing submitted on Feb. 11.
The filing indicates that Musk would withdraw his bid if the OpenAI board stops its planned transition to a for-profit entity.
He is demanding that the organization commits to its original non-profit mission.
