Beijing-based AI startup Moonshot AI, which develops the Kimi chatbot, has completed a series F funding round of more than US$3.5 billion, according to a report.

The report said Moonshot AI closed the round ahead of schedule after raising more than 3x its target.

The report added that Moonshot AI has also started its planned series G pre-IPO round earlier than expected.

The round had originally been scheduled to begin in August, and the company’s pre-money valuation has risen to US$50 billion.
