Moonshot AI explores K3 deals with Microsoft, Amazon, Google

China’s Moonshot AI, a Beijing-based AI startup, is in early talks with Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet’s Google on revenue-sharing deals that would let the US cloud firms host its Kimi K3 model, according to three sources.

Moonshot is seeking up to a 30% share of revenue from K3-related services on Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud.

Terms covering revenue splits, data access, and audits of token usage remain unresolved, and no deal is certain.

Any agreement could be the first such revenue-sharing pact between a Chinese AI firm and a large US cloud company.

The talks come despite US national security concerns over Chinese AI and criticism from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who said last month that he might add Moonshot to a trade blacklist.
