Moomoo enters event trading with Kalshi deal
Moomoo, trading platform owned by Hong Kong-headquartered Futu Holding, has partnered with Kalshi to offer event contracts to eligible users through its platform.
The products are regulated by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
The contracts cover outcomes tied to Federal Reserve decisions, inflation data releases, elections, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Prices range from US$0.01 to US$1 and reflect the market’s implied probability of an outcome.
Kalshi, a US prediction market operator, said it was regulated as a Commodity Futures Trading Commission-designated contract market, meaning its event contracts fall under federal derivatives rules.
Moomoo did not specify which users qualified as “eligible users.” Robinhood already offers similar Commodity Futures Trading Commission-regulated event contracts through Kalshi and other exchanges, suggesting Moomoo’s launch followed a wider move by brokerages.
