Mobility platform Rapido expands to 500 cities in India
Rapido, a mobility platform offering bike and auto transportation services, plans to expand to 500 cities in India, up from the current 120.
The expansion will begin in February 2025, starting with Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Rajasthan.
Services will later extend to Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, thought specific timelines for completion are yet to be revealed.
Founded in 2015, Rapido competes with major ride-hailing services such as Uber and Ola, as well as newer companies like Namma Yatri.
Rapido has facilitated over 200 crore rides to date and averages 3.6 million rides daily.
