Mistral AI raises $2b series C at $13.8b valuation

Mistral AI is announcing a €1.7 billion (US$2 billion) series C funding round, giving the company a post-money valuation of €11.7 billion (US$13.8 billion).

The round is led by ASML Holding NV, with participation from DST Global, Andreessen Horowitz, Bpifrance, General Catalyst, Index Ventures, Lightspeed, and Nvidia.

The funds will support research and development for AI solutions targeting industrial and engineering sectors.

ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet said the partnership aims to create new AI-enabled products and research opportunities.

Founded in June 2023, Mistral AI develops AI models and infrastructure.

The company has over 350 employees and offices in Paris, London, Luxembourg, Palo Alto, New York City, and Singapore. It reports more than 100 customers and a portfolio of over 15 AI models.
