Mirae Asset profit jumps 72% on SpaceX, overseas gains
Mirae Asset Securities reported a 72% rise in net profit for 2025, reaching 1.59 trillion won (US$1.1 billion), driven by overseas operations and gains from SpaceX-related holdings.
The company’s operating profit rose 61% to 1.91 trillion won (US$1.3 billion), while pretax profit increased 70% to 2.08 trillion won (US$1.4 billion).
Assets under management grew by about 120 trillion won (US$81.9 billion) to 602 trillion won (US$411 billion), with overseas assets accounting for 84 trillion won (US$57.3 billion).
Its overseas subsidiaries achieved record earnings, with pretax profit totaling 498 billion won (US$340.2 million), nearly a quarter of the firm’s total profit before taxes.
