Mirae Asset leads Chinese chipmaker D-Robotics’ $400m round

D-Robotics, a China-based maker of chips and software for robots, said on September 17 it had completed a US$400 million series C round led by Mirae Asset.

The round also included Meituan, alongside follow-on backing from government-backed platforms including Hefei State-owned Capital Investment and Nanshan Zhixin Investment.

The company said it will use the money to expand its Sunrise chip range and build a software platform for data collection, model training, simulation validation, and inference deployment.

D-Robotics said the platform is meant to support robot development across established categories and general-purpose humanoid robots.

It also said cumulative Sunrise chip shipments exceeded 8 million units. First-half 2026 revenue grew severalfold from a year earlier.

The financing follows a US$120 million Series B1 and a US$150 million Series B2.
