Mirae Asset leads $20m round for Indian wealth manager Nexedge
New Delhi-based Nexedge Capital, a wealth management firm, has raised US$20 million in its first funding round, led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners.
The company will use the funds to strengthen its technology platform, expand its network of senior bankers, and grow across India, including in tier-two and tier-three cities.
Founded in February 2025 by Anirudha Taparia, a former co-founder and joint chief executive of 360 ONE Wealth, Nexedge said it offers portfolio management, estate planning, business expansion, and global mobility services tailored to families’ goals.
The company said it has grown to US$3 billion in assets under management across more than 1,300 clients over the past 18 months and has added more than 95 senior bankers.
One of its lead backers, Mirae Asset Venture Investment, describes itself as a growth-equity investor in India.
Nexedge also plans complementary offerings for non-resident Indians and a non-banking financial company business.
A non-banking financial company business would require registration with the Reserve Bank of India.
Nexedge’s expansion comes as India’s wealth management industry could add US$1.6 trillion in assets under management, according to Deloitte.
