Business intelligence firm MicroStrategy has acquired about 21,550 bitcoins.
The purchase, made from December 2 to December 8, 2024, was for US$2.1 billion in cash.
The acquisition was funded by selling over 5.4 million shares of the company’s stock, generating approximately US$2.13 billion during the same period.
As of December 8, 2024, MicroStrategy owns 423,650 bitcoins, totaling US$25.6 billion.
