Accenture uses its Copilot rollout to win more business

• Accenture and Microsoft are pairing the software deal with a “copilot business transformation practice” that will help other companies put generative AI to work 1.
• The group will have 5,000 professionals and use Accenture’s own rollout as an example for clients 1.
• The move targets a clear need. Sixty-five percent of business executives say they do not have the expertise to lead generative AI changes 2.
• The partnership is building tools such as AI agents, including a procure-to-pay agent for purchasing and payments. Accenture says it could lift efficiency by up to 40%, which makes the internal rollout a test site for client products 1.

Microsoft links AI use to subscription revenue

• Microsoft says adoption among large enterprises is picking up. The number of Copilot customers with more than 10,000 seats, or paid user licenses, more than doubled from the prior quarter 3.
• Copilot is growing faster than any earlier software suite Microsoft launched in Microsoft 365, said Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft 3.
• Microsoft plans to make money over time through premium bundles such as Microsoft 365 E7, “The Frontier Suite.” The package is set for general availability on May 1, 2026, and combines Microsoft 365 E5 with Copilot, Microsoft Entra Suite, Microsoft’s identity and access management products, and Microsoft Agent 365 4.
• The approach aims to raise revenue per user while capital spending climbs. In Q4 FY2024, Microsoft recorded US$19 billion in capital expenditures including finance leases, and cloud plus AI spending made up nearly all of that total 3.
