Microsoft has announced additional pay for some sales employees affected by recent layoffs.

The bonuses are for workers whose annual payouts were impacted by financial performance challenges beyond their control.

These employees will receive compensation as if they had achieved higher sales quotas.

This decision follows two rounds of layoffs this year that affected about 15,000 employees.

In April, Microsoft revealed plans to outsource more sales operations for small and midsized businesses to third-party firms.
