Microsoft integrates AI service into Office 365 to rival ChatGPT
Microsoft is merging its consumer AI subscription into Office with a new Microsoft 365 premium tier at US$19.99 per month.
The new plan adds an integrated chatbot, image generation, and AI tools alongside Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Current Copilot Pro subscribers will be moved to the new plan, which will replace Copilot Pro.
The premium tier offers AI features previously available only to corporate customers.
Microsoft 365 individual and family plans remain at US$10 and US$13 per month, while business plans are unchanged.
The move comes as Microsoft increasingly competes with OpenAI’s ChatGPT in the consumer AI market.
