Satya Nadella, chairman and CEO of Microsoft, will visit South Korea on Mar. 26, marking his first trip to the country in over two years.

He will meet with top executives from KT Corp., LG Electronics, and HD Hyundai and deliver the opening keynote at the Microsoft AI Tour in Seoul, discussing AI’s impact on global and Korean industries.

Microsoft has been strengthening its AI partnerships in South Korea. In September 2024, the company signed a five-year, 2.4 trillion won (US$1.65 billion) deal with KT Corp. to enhance AI models and cloud services.

Microsoft also partnered with LG Electronics at CES 2025 to advance AI development.

Nadella’s visit highlights South Korea’s growing role in the global AI landscape.

Other tech leaders, including OpenAI’s Sam Altman and Snowflake’s co-founders, have also visited recently to explore AI collaborations, drawn by the country’s rapid AI adoption and strong digital infrastructure.
