Meta boosts AI in Singapore with Llama Incubator Demo Day

Meta has completed its first Llama Incubator Program demo day in Singapore, selecting three winning teams—CREX, MyRepublic Broadband, and Straits Interactive—and three runners-up: AgriG8, IntentAI, and i-Sprint Innovations.

Public sector teams from BCA, LTA, and SDC also showcased their innovations during the event.

The program was run in partnership with Singapore’s Ministry of Digital Development and Information, IMDA, GovTech Singapore, Digital Industry Singapore, Enterprise Singapore, AI Singapore, SGInnovate, e27, and Deloitte.

A total of 40 organizations received six months’ worth of business and technical guidance, including training on responsible AI practices, Llama’s protection tools, and frameworks like Project Moonshot and AI Verify.

Participants developed over 30 projects using Meta’s Llama technology for finance, healthcare, education, and public sectors.

Each winning team will receive US$30,000, while runners-up will get US$10,000.

Meta also teamed up with AWS Singapore to offer eligible companies AWS credits, enablement sessions, and ongoing technical support.

The initiative is part of broader efforts to advance AI adoption and capability building in Singapore, alongside the “Upskill with Meta” program and recent foundational workshops reaching over 100 organizations.
