Sandhya Devanathan said in an August 28 social media post that she was leaving Meta after more than a decade and would take a short break before sharing her next move.

Devanathan most recently served as Meta’s vice president and head of India and Southeast Asia, overseeing the company’s operations in both regions.

She said she joined Meta when the company had about 300 employees in Singapore.

Over the years, she worked across ecommerce and gaming in Asia-Pacific, or APAC, and led teams across India and Southeast Asia.

Devanathan pointed to projects including government citizen services on WhatsApp in India, storefronts on Meta’s apps for small businesses in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand, and support for startups in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
