Meta’s global affairs chief to leave after 15-plus years
Meta chief global affairs officer Joel Kaplan said on social media that he will leave the company after more than 15 years and stay on for a few months to support the transition.
Kaplan said he decided it was the right time to move on and described his time at Meta as an “extraordinary journey and opportunity.”
He thanked CEO Mark Zuckerberg and former COO Sheryl Sandberg, and said he plans to spend time with his family while he figures out his next step.
Meta appointed Kaplan to lead its global policy team in January 2025, replacing Nick Clegg.
