Meta releases open-weight Muse Spark AI model for coding
Meta on October 15 released an open-weight version of its Muse Spark AI model for coding and AI agents, allowing developers to download and adapt it.
Open-weight models make their trained parameters available to developers for modification.
They can offer businesses a lower-cost alternative to closed models controlled by their creators.
Meta said Muse Spark can run locally on two Apple M5 Ultra Mac Studio computers and is also available through some application programming interface providers.
The release follows Meta’s launch of the smaller Muse Glimmer model in August.
