Meta has opened applications in Singapore for the first time for its 2027 Data Center Community Action Grants. Eligible local organizations can apply from September 14 to October 19, 2026.

The grants support projects that use technology for community benefit, build sustainable communities, or improve science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics education.

Meta said it has invested US$94 million through more than 3,700 grants across data center communities.

Meta announced in 2018 that it would build a US$1 billion, 11-story facility in Singapore, its first data center in Asia.

Singapore also shifted from a 2019 moratorium on new data center developments to a competitive approval regime in 2022 that prioritizes energy efficiency and sustainability.
