Meta launches AI accelerator program in Singapore

Meta has launched its AI Accelerator program to empower startups across the Asia Pacific.

The initiative facilitates the integration of Llama, Meta’s open-source AI model, into products developed by these companies and developers.

The launch event at Meta’s APAC headquarters in Singapore coincided with the Meta APAC AI Accelerator Finals, attended by Josephine Teo, Singapore’s digital development and information minister, and Nick Clegg, Meta’s global affairs president.

Clegg announced plans for a Singapore-focused incubator program to support 100 enterprises in enhancing their understanding of generative AI and Llama.

It will connect 20 participants with industry experts who will mentor selected startups in developing customized Llama-powered solutions.

This initiative seeks to support Singapore’s National AI Strategy 2.0, promoting AI adoption in businesses.
