Meta expanded Meta Business Agent to businesses worldwide on WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram on June 3.

The AI tool help businesses automate customer interactions and sales activities.

The move broadens a system Meta had been testing for nearly two years in markets including India and Mexico, and extends it to Instagram.

Meta said more than 1 million businesses already use Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp and Messenger. The company also said there are more than 1 billion active business chat threads each day across WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram.

Meta also introduced the Meta Business Agent Platform, which lets businesses connect the agent to systems such as Shopify, Zendesk, and Shopee.

Meta said getting started is free, with paid subscriptions coming in the next few months.
