Meta AI’s mobile app saw a sharp rise in users and downloads after launching its Vibes feed, according to Similarweb.

The short-form AI-generated video feed, introduced on September 25, boosted daily active users to 2.7 million by October 17, up from about 775,000 four weeks earlier.

App installs also climbed to 300,000 per day, compared to less than 200,000 previously.

A year ago, the app had only 4,000 daily downloads on October 17, 2024.

Similarweb noted that the timing of the Vibes launch aligns with the spike, though not confirming direct causation.

Meta AI’s global daily users rose 15.6%, while ChatGPT, Grok, and Perplexity saw drops during the same period.
