China-based food delivery firm Meituan reported its third consecutive profitable quarter, owing to strong demand from the travel sector. Besides food delivery, the company also offers services like hotel and travel bookings.

The firm’s net income for the September quarter tripled to about US$501.9 million year on year. It also registered a 22% increase in sales over the same period.
