Meituan leads $73.9m round for Chinese robotics firm
Hangzhou-based Xynova, develops dexterous robotic hands and actuators for humanoid robots.
The company said on July 17 it raised 500 million yuan (US$73.9 million) in a series A+ round led by Meituan, with NIO Capital, China Merchants Capital, an unnamed internet company, and existing investor Xiaomi Strategic Investment also participating.
This was Xynova’s third funding round in 2026, following pre-A and series A rounds in March and May.
The May round brought the company’s cumulative fundraising to nearly 1 billion yuan (US$148 million).
Founded in 2024, Xynova develops dexterous hands and actuators for humanoid robots.
Its Flex 2 hand uses a hybrid cable-driven and direct-drive architecture for grasping and manipulation.
Components were tested for more than 2 million open-close cycles, while Xynova said tendon lifespan exceeds 1.5 million cycles.
Xynova said it has a 5,400-square-meter factory in Hangzhou and expects annual production capacity to reach 10,000 units by the end of this year.
The deal fits Meituan’s broader push into embodied intelligence.
Meituan has backed more than 30 robotics and large language model companies.
The segment is also drawing investor attention as dexterous hands are increasingly seen as a bottleneck in making humanoid robots useful beyond demonstrations.
