Meituan said at a conference in Shenzhen that it released its 2026 Top 100 Hairstylists list and launched Craftsperson Agent, an AI assistant for hairstylists.

The Beijing-based local services platform said 4,698 hairstylists from 58 cities were selected based on technical skill, popularity, reputation management, service experience, and communication skills.

The process included reviews by 14 industry experts and 50 committee members, as well as votes from more than 1.18 million users and over 9 million user reviews.

Meituan said Craftsperson Agent can answer operations questions, analyze business data, and help hairstylists publish their work online.

The company said the tool cuts a workflow that previously took at least 11 steps into a confirm-and-publish process.
