Meesho, a Bengaluru-based ecommerce company, said in a September 9 filing to the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE that it had discontinued the role of CPO as part of a reorganisation of its product team.

The company said product leaders who previously reported to CPO Prasanna Arunachalam will now report directly to their respective business heads.

Arunachalam, who took over the role after Mohit Rajani’s exit, will no longer be classified as senior management personnel, though he remains employed at Meesho.

Meesho said the change was meant to strengthen accountability and align product strategy and execution more closely with the long-term needs of each business.

The company disclosed the update under Securities and Exchange Board of India listing regulations.
