MediaTek expects up to $4.6b Q1 revenue from AI
MediaTek, a supplier of mobile phone chips, announced on Feb.6 an expected revenue growth of 2% to 10% for the first quarter of 2025.
The company is projecting revenue between NT$140.8 billion and NT$151.8 billion (approximately US$4.3 billion to US$4.6 billion) for the period ending March 31.
This increase is attributed to orders pulled forward due to tariff concerns and China’s economic stimulus program.
Despite uncertainty regarding global trade tensions, the company remains optimistic about the growth of AI-enabled devices and applications.
