Malaysia-based proptech firm LiveIn has acquired KoolKost, a long-term accommodation brand in Indonesia previously owned by RedDoorz.

The acquisition includes 27 properties across six cities.

KoolKost, established in 2020, serves long-term travelers, students, and workers with budget-friendly accommodations offering Wi-Fi, cleaning services, and drinking water.

Following the acquisition, KoolKost will operate as a sub-brand of LiveIn Indonesia, with its properties integrated into LiveIn’s existing categories: LiveIn Intro, Select, and Signature.

This move aligns with Indonesia’s growing urbanization, as 66.6% of the population is projected to live in cities by 2035, increasing the demand for flexible and affordable housing.
