HealthMetrics has launched HealthMetrics Indonesia, rebranding Across Asia Assist Indonesia (AAA) after acquiring the company in 2022.
This merger combines HealthMetrics’ digital infrastructure with AAA’s local expertise to create a digital Third-party Administrator (TPA) in Indonesia’s healthcare sector.
AAA, operating for over a decade, has served insurers like Allianz and AXA, as well as local corporations.
Under the HealthMetrics brand, the company aims to enhance healthcare administration with digital tools like the HealthMetrics Cloud Platform, Global Member App, and International Assistance Hub.
HealthMetrics Indonesia also supports insurers and corporations with tools for managing health trends and employee wellness.
HealthMetrics Indonesia is projected to surpass US$1 billion in cumulative medical treatments by 2025.

🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ Indonesia’s healthcare digital transformation aligns with national economic strategy
HealthMetrics’ expansion in Indonesia strategically aligns with the country’s “Indonesia Emas 2045” vision, which aims to leverage digital technology for national development.
Indonesia’s digital sector is growing 2.5 times faster than traditional sectors, contributing significantly to the national GDP. The government projects that digital transformation could boost Indonesia’s economic growth by 6.2% by 2045 1.
This explains why HealthMetrics is emphasizing their digital-first approach in the Indonesian market, as it positions them to benefit from government initiatives supporting healthcare digitalization.
The company’s focus on “intelligent digital solutions” mirrors Indonesia’s Digital Vision 2045, which involves over 50 institutions and takes a three-pronged approach: ecosystem development, sectoral focus, and territorial coverage to ensure equitable digital growth 1.
For Indonesian corporations and insurers, this alignment suggests that adopting platforms like HealthMetrics could offer advantages beyond operational efficiency, potentially including alignment with national policy priorities and regulatory frameworks.
2️⃣ Southeast Asia’s healthcare supply-demand gap drives digital TPA innovation
HealthMetrics’ cross-border healthcare administration platform addresses a fundamental challenge in Southeast Asia: a significant healthcare supply-demand gap, particularly for underserved populations.
