Malaysian chipmaker firm SkyeChip targets $226m IPO valuation
Semiconductor designer SkyeChip is planning an initial public offering (IPO) in Malaysia, potentially in the second half of 2025.
The company, founded in 2019, aims for a valuation of over 1 billion ringgit (US$226 million), according to sources.
The potential IPO aligns with Malaysia’s push to expand its semiconductor sector, including a US$250 million agreement with SoftBank’s Arm Holdings to boost domestic chip design.
Malaysia’s IPO market surged in 2024, raising US$1.6 billion, the highest since 2017.
