Malaysian AI startup for chip industry nets ‘multi-million ringgit’

Nvsion, a Malaysia-based provider of AI-powered automated optical inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry, has raised “multi-million ringgit” in a funding round from Cambrian Fund, its sole investor.

Cambrian Fund, a venture capital firm focused on Industry 4.0, made its first investment by backing Nvsion.

Founded in October 2024, Nvsion develops inspection technology for semiconductor assembly, electronics manufacturing, and related sectors.

The company plans to use the new funding to advance product development, hire staff, and grow its customer base.

Nvsion’s platform uses a combination of AI and rule-based algorithms for high-speed industrial applications.

Cambrian Fund is managed by Southern Capital Group, a private equity firm focused on Southeast Asia.
