Lyft to launch self-driving shuttle service in 2026
Lyft plans to launch a self-driving shuttle service in late 2026.
Users will be able to book rides through the Lyft app at airports and cities across the US.
The service will feature Holon Urban electric shuttles developed by Benteler Mobility.
Each shuttle carries up to 15 passengers, runs at a max speed of 37 mph, and uses Level 4 autonomy for driving without human input in most conditions.
The shuttles are equipped with lidar, radar, and 11 cameras, powered by Intel’s Mobileye.
Deployment locations haven’t been announced yet.
Lyft will also launch robotaxis in Atlanta this year with May Mobility, and it already partners with Motional in Las Vegas and Waymo.
