Logitech unveils MX Keypad for AI coding

Logitech, a Swiss maker of computer peripherals and software-enabled hardware, announced the MX Keypad in India on September 9.

The programmable device is aimed at developers who want physical keys to run AI prompts, refactor code, and launch commands across coding workflows.

The keypad works with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Visual Studio Code, and IntelliJ IDEA.

Logitech said it also includes plugins for GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.

The India launch follows Logitech’s broader unveiling of the device, indicating this is a new MX product rather than an India-only rollout.

Logitech said it developed the product with GitHub. In India, the Graphite variant is priced at 15,999 rupees (US$170).

Each unit also includes three free months of GitHub Copilot Pro+, redeemable in Logi Options+ for new and existing users.
