Lightspeed leads AI no-code app builder’s $23m series A

Emergent, a software platform that helps users build apps without coding, has raised US$23 million in series A funding led by Lightspeed.

The round also saw participation from Together Fund, Y Combinator, Prosus Ventures, and several angel investors.

This brings Emergent’s total funding to US$30 million to date.

The company said it will use the funds to expand its team and invest further in research and product development.

Emergent claims its platform allows users – including small business owners, founders, and creators – to launch production-ready apps without technical skills.

The company reported reaching US$15 million in annual recurring revenue and over 1 million users within 90 days of launch.
