Lightspeed Venture Partners has led a US$40 million series B funding round for SolarSquare, marking the largest venture capital investment in India’s solar sector.

The new funding will aid SolarSquare in its expansion from 20 to 50 cities in India.

SolarSquare, established in 2015, began as a solar EPC company.

It has since expanded to offer a range of residential solar services, including system design, installation, and financing.

SolarSquare serves over 20,000 households and more than 200 cooperative housing societies across India.
