Lightspeed co-leads $700m round for Neko Health

Neko Health, a Sweden-based preventive health  startup, has raised US$700 million to expand and open new clinics, including a clinic in New York later this year.

OG Venture Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners co-led the round, with participation from several high-profile investors including Maria Sharapova, Thierry Henry, and Mark Zuckerberg.

Neko did not disclose its valuation.

Co-founded in 2018 by Spotify founder and chief executive Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, Neko operates in Sweden and the UK. The company said more than 350,000 people have registered for a scan and last raised US$260 million at the start of 2025.

The service combines body scanning with routine health checks, with results delivered by a doctor in about 15 minutes.

In its first year in Stockholm, Neko scanned 2,707 people. Of those, 14% needed further attention or monitoring, and 1% received potentially life-saving interventions.
