LG’s India IPO draws Abu Dhabi, Norway, Singapore wealth funds
LG Electronics plans to raise US$1.3 billion through the IPO of its India unit, with major global investors like ADIA, Norges Bank, GIC, BlackRock, and Fidelity International reportedly in talks to join as anchors.
The South Korean company began taking anchor investor orders on October 6, 2025 and aims to list its shares on October 14, 2025.
Indian investors such as SBI Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Asset Management, and Nippon Life India Asset Management are also expected to participate.
At the top pricing range, LG’s India arm could be valued at US$8.7 billion, lower than the US$15 billion it sought in December 2024.
The IPO comes amid a record month for Indian listings, with total proceeds expected to surpass US$5 billion in October.
