LG Uplus eyes $300m AI revenue in Google partnership
Telecommunications company LG Uplus announced its plan to generate US$300 million in revenue by 2028 through a partnership with Google.
The collaboration, finalized earlier this week, will integrate Google’s Gemini AI model into LG Uplus’ AI call agent, ixi-O.
This integration aims to enhance ixi-O’s features, including context-based call summaries and user recommendations.
Google initiated the partnership to expand ixi-O globally, which had 170,000 subscribers by the end of 2024, shortly after launching on iOS and Android.
